IFS Coaching

Are You Going Through A Challenging Time In Your Life?

Do you feel as though you’ve been spending most of your time in survival mode lately, which has kept you from actually thriving? Have you recently experienced any mental or emotional challenges, such as:

  • An overall lack of self-confidence, self-worth, or self-esteem?

  • Ongoing depression and anxiety that you can’t seem to shake?

  • Financial or health issues that have impacted you or your loved ones?

  • Difficult life changes or transitions like the loss of a job or a relationship?

Perhaps you’ve been actively coping with symptoms of anxiety, depression, or the aftereffects of trauma. Or maybe you’ve been feeling a subtler form of dissatisfaction with your job, friends, or romantic partnership

Various Life Struggles Can Keep You From Being
Your Best Self

In addition to generally feeling down, worried, or inadequate, you may have also noticed that your ability to function day-to-day has been negatively affected as well. For example, maybe you’ve been straining to balance the responsibilities of work and family, which has disrupted healthy dietary habits or your sleep schedule. Or perhaps you can’t help but doubt and second-guess every single decision you make, no matter how much you try to do the right thing. You may find yourself feeling discouraged or even hopeless at times.

Thankfully, though, there are effective ways to take control and move forward with your life. I’m Michele Warren, and as an IFS Coach and Practitioner, I work with people who want to unlock the best versions of themselves. I wholeheartedly believe that Internal Family Systems coaching can help you find greater peace and confidence in your decisions and in your life.

Everyone Can Benefit From External Support Sometimes

Every single one of us faces challenges in life, some of which we have more control over than others. Often, though, it is not the adversity itself that defines us and our journey, but rather how we respond to these challenges.

Unfortunately, modern life can prove isolating, frequently leaving us to work through our issues completely on our own. Some of this can be attributed to technology like social media and the internet, which, despite connecting us can also exacerbate feelings of anxiety and loneliness. In addition, we seem to culturally encourage and even expect people to manage their own problems without any outside help or support.

Self-Care Is An Important Part Of Being Able To Care For Others

One recurring theme that I see is people not having the time, attention, and energy to practice ample self-care—and it’s often due to their need to care for others. Sometimes, people simply become stretched too thin to fully nourish themselves, or their responsibilities to others make them feel guilty for doing so.

And yet, healing yourself is actually one of the best things that you can do for others. Only when you find harmony within yourself can you fully share your love and energy with those around you. In this way, IFS life coaching can help you feel inner peace by treating the different parts of yourself with love and compassion.

IFS Coaching Can Help You Find Clarity And Self-Confidence

If you’ve been feeling held back or stuck in life for a while now, you may have started to simply accept things as they are or lose hope for a better future. But with client-driven, IFS-inspired coaching you can gain a firm idea of who you are and where you are going.

IFS Coaching allows you and I to work as a team to find and focus on the root issues keeping your life from progressing in the way that you want. As your IFS Coach and Practitioner, you can think of me not as an authority figure but as a peer with the skills and experience needed to help you develop a more profound understanding of yourself and your potential.

What You Can Expect From Coaching Sessions

Prior to beginning IFS coaching sessions, I’ll ask you to submit some information via email about your history, your symptoms, and your larger life goals. This will allow me to begin to build a deeper understanding of where we need to focus.

During your actual sessions, we will identify certain areas of your life that you want to change or address. We will then trace any specific issues back to when they first appeared in your life and work to free them from your past self and better incorporate them into your present self.

A Coaching Approach That Will Work For You

As your IFS Coach and Practitioner, I will incorporate two primary approaches in your sessions:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) – An evidence-based therapeutic method, IFS resembles family coaching, except with our internal, not external, family. IFS explores the different parts of your personality and how they interact and create different ways of thinking and feeling.

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE) – An alternative practice, SE focuses on healing the psychological pain stored in your body. In particular, somatic experiencing can help heal the lingering symptoms of stress or trauma.

While these practices will complement each other by working to heal both your mind and your body, the process is also a holistic one. By listening to the different parts of yourself, we will build toward a more peaceful and unified whole.

My ultimate goal is to help you better see and treat yourself with the same sense of love and compassion that you do others. From there, I think you’ll find that just about anything is possible. With IFS Coaching, you can move confidently toward your goals and dreams through an expanded sense of self-awareness, self-worth, and self-love.

You May Still Have Some Questions About IFS Coaching…

I’m concerned that I don’t have enough time for this.

Coaching allows you to get in touch with your deepest wishes—with almost nothing out of reach if you’re willing and able to give the time and attention to yourself. What do you truly want to do in your life? We will focus first on more concrete goals and go from there. Rest assured, though, that the process of knowing yourself will be time well spent.

I’m actually afraid of exploring myself and opening up.

Opening up and addressing concerns about yourself is always brave work. And I specifically like to think of this as a courageous space because mutual honesty will be our goal the entire time. I also firmly believe that working through the fear inevitably involved in this process can be one of the most rewarding and liberating experiences you can have.

I’m worried that pursuing self-discovery will cost me my significant other.

On the contrary, this process can actually bring you closer together as a couple. Healing your deeper self usually helps make those around you feel more at ease and able to relate to you. And you will learn to feel at peace with the various situations, both positive and negative, that will continue to come up in your life moving forward.
